JUNE 20th Ski Club Party - Our first party of the year, was very nice. Kids were playing, and the website was displayed on the wall for all to see. Stuffed Peppers from Chris, Homemade Chili by Jamie, Ramen noodle summer salad by Jeanie, pasta salad, chocolate covered strawberries, grilled shrimp by Cathy, were some of the delicious foods brought. Personal Video review, coaching, kids gifts, contests, and great conversations made the night a success.

We also had a good response to the signup sheets for upcoming events - thanks !

SIGN UP Here for JULY 6th, the "Ski Club Day" from 10a - 2p. Free skiing, boat rides, lunch will be provided by the club. The goal is to continue to show our two communities the value of our ski club. The club has already taught 16 skiers to ski this year, how to drive for a skier, how to dock your boat, and taken skiers skiing for families that don't have a boat but still want to enjoy the lake. We are increasing these activities, and we know that this will be fun and educational for everyone. We will also review safe boating practices as we always promote safety. Presently there are 4 boats scheduled, so contact Jim Wissing to sign up for a time slot.  See CLINIC page for pics.

There is a new link to the Ohio Water Ski Association, check it out there is a lot of good information.

Ski Clinics have been a great success and a great experience.   See "News" for more details and "Calendar" to sign up for a clinic.

Lambert Clinics, sponsored by Master Craft  are not scheduled 2009 in Burton, Ohio. See "News" and "Clinics" for more details.

NEW and USED Boats: Many of us have our boats stored and serviced at Boat House Marine at Tri Lakes. They have also sponsored our Membership Drive this year, and have Demo Days throughout the year where you can drive new boats before you buy (20ft limit). Check them out.

Welcome to ALWSC 2009

Hello and thank you for visiting our site.

Ski Clubs are a huge benefit to any lake, and we are fortunate that we have an active club providing such a great resource on our private lake. So, please get involved, it will definitely improve your summer.

Here you will find Lake Rules, Good practice guidelines (driving and skiing), expert coaching tips, calendar of events, cool photos of our skiers, links to other resources and organizations, clinics, and much more. All this for the Aurora Shores and Hawthorn of Aurora communities.

We had an excellent fourth year in 2008, providing very successful clinics (Wakeboarding, Slalom, Learn to Ski, and Driving). We believe that the numerous benefits will surpass the nominal $25 annual family membership.
